Cook Orthodontics began when Dr. Thomas Cook started practicing on Water Street in Augusta, ME, in the summer of 1976. Dr. Thomas Cook built and relocated his practice to our current location at 45 Fuller Road in 1992. Dr. Brian Cook joined his father in practice in 2014, and they practiced together for 7 years until Dr. Thomas Cook retired at the end of 2021. Dr. Brian Cook is proud to carry on the legacy of high-quality orthodontic care delivered in a caring environment.
Dr. Brian Cook has three children, and if he is very lucky, they may someday become the third generation of Cook Orthodontics.

Education and Professional Background
Dr. Cook’s journey in orthodontics began with his residency at Indiana University School of Dentistry. Before specializing, he excelled academically, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Vermont, where he also captained the cross-country, ski, and track teams.
He continued his academic prowess at Ohio State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Recognized for his achievements, Dr. Cook was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and later became a clinical instructor at the OSU College of Dentistry.
Retirement
Since retiring in 2021, Dr. Thomas Cook and his wife, Jan, have been enjoying spending time with their two children and three grandchildren while traveling and keeping their gardens in top form!
