What to Expect
Welcome to Cook Orthodontics! Upon arrival, please check in with our receptionist. We’re excited to have you here.
Dr. Brian Cook will conduct a comprehensive orthodontic examination and personally explain all aspects of your treatment.
During your initial examination, we will address:
- Orthodontic Issue: Is there a problem that needs treatment?
- Timing: When is the best time to begin treatment?
- Treatment Plan: What type of treatment is necessary?
- Duration: How long will the treatment take?
- Cost: What are the estimated costs?
What’s Next?
If orthodontic treatment is recommended, we’ll schedule an appointment for Diagnostic Records and a digital intraoral scan. We always take these records during your initial visit if needed.Â
What Are Diagnostic Records?
- Study Models: Detailed models of your teeth.
- Radiographs: Panoramic and cephalogram X-rays with tracings.
- Photographs: Diagnostic photos.
- Doctor’s Analysis: Comprehensive study to determine the best treatment plan.
Digital Intraoral Scan
We no longer take traditional impressions in our office, which involve creating molds of teeth using a putty-like material. Instead, every patient receives a digital intraoral scan on their first visit. This advanced technology provides a more comfortable and accurate representation of teeth, capturing detailed images without needing messy and uncomfortable impression materials.
Treatment Cost
The cost depends on the severity of the orthodontic issue. Our treatment coordinator will discuss fees and payment options during the initial exam. We offer various payment plans to fit your budget and accept most insurance plans to make orthodontic care affordable.
What Your Investment Includes
- Orthodontic Records: X-rays, study models, and a personalized growth study workup.
- Active Treatment Fee: Includes early treatment options, comprehensive treatment with braces or aligners, all appliances, office visits, and procedures performed in the office.

- Final Retainers: One set is provided upon treatment completion. Additional retainers will incur a replacement fee.

- Additional treatments due to accidents or injuries resulting in TMJ complications or requiring extra orthodontics or surgery.
